Requires 5+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in payments or fintech, plus deep knowledge of payment flows and processing economics.

## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Payments Strategy & Execution
- Own the end-to-end product roadmap for payments across card-present and card-not-present environments, focusing on hospitality use cases including table service, counter service, bars, quick-service, and multi-location groups.
- Define how payment media types are presented and accepted, including chip, contactless, digital wallets, ecommerce tokens, and white-label loyalty.
- Translate complex payment flows into intuitive merchant and staff experiences, including refunds, tips, adjustments, partial authorizations, and offline or stand-in authorization.
- Monitor and improve authorization rates, chargebacks, declines, disputes, latency, and reconciliation accuracy through data-driven experimentation.
- Partner with risk, compliance, and security teams to maintain adherence to network rules and PCI DSS.
- Partner with go-to-market teams to package and position payment capabilities for hospitality merchants.
- Lead discovery with external processors, acquirers, gateways, and partners to evaluate capabilities, routing options, and cost optimization.

### Money Movement & Remittance
- Partner with money movement and remittance teams to ensure merchant processing funds settle on time, with accurate fees, adjustments, and chargeback handling reflected in merchant-facing reporting.
- Feed payment product decisions, including routing, interchange optimization, and surcharging or dual pricing, into funding and remittance workflows so merchant payouts remain predictable and explainable.

### Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary product point of contact for payments, aligning stakeholders around a clear vision, roadmap, and success metrics.
- Facilitate cross-functional decision-making while balancing technical constraints, regulatory considerations, and merchant needs.
- Communicate trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and progress to executives and senior leaders.
- Mentor and influence adjacent product teams on payment best practices, shared capabilities, and platform standards.
- Promote accountability, urgency, and ownership to ensure high-quality, timely releases and rapid learning from launches.

## Requirements

- 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on payments, fintech, or related financial services products.
- Demonstrated product leadership, including setting vision, influencing senior stakeholders, making trade-offs under ambiguity, and rallying engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
- Deep understanding of card-present and card-not-present payments, authorization, capture, clearing, settlement, tokenization, risk, and chargebacks.
- Familiarity with merchant processing economics, including interchange, scheme fees, settlement, and remittance.
- Experience working with payment processors, acquirers, gateways, or card networks, ideally in a platform or multi-tenant merchant environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with large payment datasets, dashboards, KPIs, prioritization, and experimentation.
- Proven success shipping complex technical products in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex payment concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-centric experience conducting discovery, user interviews, and feedback sessions with merchants or similar B2B customers.
- High ownership, bias toward action, and ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

## Compensation & Benefits

- Base pay range: **$180,000–$225,000 per year**.
- Company stock plan and RSUs.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Paid vacation, company holidays, sick time, and volunteer time off.
