## Job Description

## Responsibilities

* Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Scala
* Build, develop, test and deploy software infrastructure
* Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
* Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
* Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
* Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
* Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale
* Build new systems to securely store and reliably modify production systems
* Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

## Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years of experience in software development.
* 2 years of experience working with Ruby, Java, Scala, or Go;
* 2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns;
* 2 years of experience building full-stack or backend applications at scale;
* 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and distributed systems at scale; and
* 2 years of experience writing unit tests and performing manual testing of complex software changes.

## Salary

* $190,400 - $285,600/yr.
* This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.
* 40 hrs/week
* 50% Telecommuting Permitted.
* Multiple Positions Available.
