## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Investigate and validate retailer chargebacks, including promotions, shortages, pricing discrepancies, freight, compliance, returns, and damaged goods.
- Evaluate supporting documentation such as invoices and proof of delivery to determine claim validity.
- Use final decisions to help train AI models on complex deduction scenarios.
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to improve the platform and translate deduction workflows into automated features.
- Prepare, submit, and manage deduction disputes through retailer portals through resolution.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Operations to understand trade programs, identify root causes, and reduce revenue leakage.
- Maintain accurate records, document best practices, and help build scalable operational processes.

## Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing retailer deductions, trade deductions, accounts receivable, chargebacks, or deduction resolution within a CPG company.
- Strong understanding of retailer deduction types and customer claims.
- Experience researching deductions and determining whether claims are valid.
- Experience preparing, submitting, and following deduction disputes through resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to manage high case volume while maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely follow-up.
- Clear cross-functional and customer communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Excel.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience in or selling into CPG, food and beverage, health, or beauty industries.
- Familiarity with deductions, trade finance, or retail supply chain workflows.
- Experience with retailer portals such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, or Amazon.
- Experience working alongside automation or AI-enabled operational tools.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, in-person startup environment.
