Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and operation of cloud-native services and platform capabilities with guidance from senior engineers.
Write maintainable code primarily in Java or Python and participate in peer design and code reviews.
Implement well-defined features and resolve assigned bugs, technical debt, and security fixes.
Build unit, functional, and integration tests for robust, resilient products.
Learn and apply Kubernetes, container, cloud, networking, and distributed-systems concepts.
Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements clarification, delivery, deployment, observability, and production support.
Communicate progress, questions, and risks clearly and collaborate with engineering and product management.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Foundational programming experience in Java, Python, or a comparable modern language through coursework, internships, co-ops, projects, or professional work.
Understanding of software engineering concepts, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software testing.
Ability to apply basic problem-solving techniques, follow established guidelines, and learn professional concepts.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Curiosity, sound problem-solving, continuous learning, and interest in software development and cybersecurity.

Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud at the API or programming level.
Familiarity with REST APIs, Spring or similar ecosystems, Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
Coursework, internship, co-op, or project experience with distributed systems, cloud services, networking, or security controls.
Familiarity with common software design patterns and developer testing practices.
