## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### End-to-end product design
- Lead the full design process from discovery to polished delivery, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers.
- Ship high-quality, visually cohesive designs that improve the user experience.
- Work effectively on complex features with an engineering mindset and understanding of underlying technology.
- Take ownership of complex, multifaceted problems and drive them to completion with initiative and autonomy.

### Research, feedback, and UX quality
- Run user interviews, usability tests, and research to inform product and business decisions.
- Gather, synthesize, and act on feedback while providing actionable critique to elevate teammates’ work.
- Balance speed and quality in an MVP-driven environment while navigating ambiguity.

### Systems thinking and platform coherence
- Design within systems and integrate solutions into the broader platform.
- Account for edge cases, constraints, and interaction details.
- Collaborate across teams and with other designers to ensure consistency across shared patterns and components.

### Strategy, impact, and innovation
- Shape team strategy by influencing planning, prioritization, and scope using a design perspective tied to KPIs.
- Explore and adopt AI and automation tools to advance design practice and AI-powered workflows.

## Requirements

### Must-haves
- Proficiency across product design, UX, UI, and qualitative research, with polished and detail-oriented work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand how software is built, including common web technologies.
- Experience shipping end-to-end features in smaller teams or startups and driving complex problems to measurable outcomes.
- Ability to execute quickly in an MVP-driven environment while balancing quality and velocity.
- Outcome-oriented approach using research and metrics to inform decisions and deliver solutions tied to team KPIs.
- Openness to critique and ability to provide actionable feedback.
- Enthusiasm for AI and innovation, including active exploration of new tools and approaches.
- 5+ years of product design experience with demonstrable impact on shipped products.

### Nice-to-haves
- Front-end fluency, including the ability to prototype or collaborate using HTML, CSS, or JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience designing AI or automation products; familiarity with n8n is a plus.
- Experience improving team rituals and workflows.
- Knowledge of Continuous Discovery or Shape Up methodologies.
- Comfort with metrics, A/B testing, or SQL.
- Startup or side-project experience demonstrating initiative and creative problem-solving.
