## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own AEO/GEO strategy across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
- Define targets, roadmap, buyer intents, and programs to win AI-generated citations.
- Build durable visibility across Reddit, YouTube, high-authority publications, community content, and owned pages.
- Own SEO end to end, including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, technical SEO, content-driven growth, site architecture, structured data, and log analysis.
- Protect and grow search equity through a major site relaunch and coordinate with paid search.
- Produce and direct blogs, comparison pages, videos, and structured resources using AI-assisted workflows.
- Build measurement for AI referral traffic, AI-answer share of voice, citation tracking, signups, product adoption, and revenue.
- Run controlled experiments and communicate channel insights across the company.
- Manage search and AI-visibility agencies, vendors, tools, briefs, and production workflows.
- Partner with web, growth, brand, content, product, engineering, and analytics teams.

## Requirements
- 5+ years in SEO, organic growth, or content-driven acquisition, ideally in SaaS, technology, or developer-focused businesses.
- Hands-on AEO/GEO experience within the last year.
- Demonstrated results growing AI referral traffic, winning citations, improving rankings, and measuring outcomes.
- Technical fluency in keyword research, crawling, indexing, structured data, site architecture, and log analysis.
- Understanding of how LLMs retrieve and cite sources across major AI assistants.
- Strong writing and content-direction skills, including work with agencies and AI tools.
- Analytical ability to connect organic visibility with traffic, signups, product adoption, and revenue.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, content, and analytics stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- Founder mindset, willingness to build from scratch, and a collaborative, low-ego approach.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Made AI answers a primary acquisition channel at a PLG, consumer, or developer-facing software company.
- Deep Reddit fluency and experience building credible community presence.
- Experience running YouTube as an organic discovery channel.
- Experience with Profound, Peec, Ahrefs Brand Radar, or similar AI-visibility and citation-tracking tools.
- Programmatic SEO at meaningful scale.
- Experience with Replit or other AI building tools.
- Experience directing SEO/AEO agencies and fractional specialists.
