## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and deliver full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Build maintainable frontend experiences, backend services, APIs, and data models for member-record workflows.
- Translate ambiguous product and workflow requirements into technical designs and incremental delivery plans.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Clinical, Quality, and engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Improve production-system reliability, performance, security, observability, and maintainability.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to testing strategies across the stack.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, incident response, and operational improvements.
- Identify technical debt and make pragmatic improvements.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Use modern developer and AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly.

## Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production software.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern React application development.
- 3+ years of backend experience with Node.js, service development, API design, and integration patterns.
- Experience mentoring and leading junior team members, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing to project planning and decisions.
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Strong understanding of testing, observability, performance, availability, and secure development practices.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
- Willingness to work from the Bengaluru office three days per week and attend late-evening India Standard Time meetings to collaborate with San Francisco.

## Nice-to-haves
- Strong backend experience with Node.js and relational database management systems.
- Exposure to microservices, distributed systems, and containerization.
- Experience owning features from technical design through launch and ongoing production support.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development or integrating AI capabilities into production workflows.
- Collaborative, product-minded approach in a remote, cross-functional environment.
