## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery for cloud-developer customers, uncovering how they build, what they are shipping, and where Cloudflare fits.
- Join sales-led discovery calls early, qualify opportunities, and stay embedded with customer teams through Slack channels and working sessions.
- Map customer initiatives and business problems—especially new product development and AI initiatives—to the Cloudflare platform.
- Build technical relationships and champions from founding engineers and developers through CTOs.
- Develop and present tailored technical content and demos for developers and senior technical leadership.
- Lead demos and proof-of-concept builds for prospects and customers.
- Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform, including Workers, Workers AI, Durable Objects, R2, D1, KV, Vectorize, Queues, and Pages.
- Create reference architectures, demos, blog posts, and other professional content.
- Represent Cloudflare at developer, community, technology, and industry events.
- Apply relevant vertical or domain expertise and advise on best practices.

## Requirements
- Experience as a Solutions Engineer or in another customer-facing technical role, ideally serving developer-led, cloud-native, or startup organizations.
- Strong technical discovery, pre-sales, technical sales, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Credibility discussing architecture, APIs, and platform design with engineers and technical founders.
- Experience building web applications or making meaningful contributions to existing web applications.
- Ability to build technical relationships, manage stakeholders, develop champions, drive technical wins, and support technical validation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in an agile, fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 25–30% for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and team collaboration.

## Technical Knowledge
- Cloudflare Developer Platform, including serverless compute and application development with Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, and Pages.
- Serverless or edge application architecture.
- AI and generative AI application patterns, including edge inference, RAG, and vector databases.
- HTTP, reverse proxy, WAF, CDN, forward proxy, secure web gateway, and serverless application development.
- DDoS mitigation, firewalls, TLS, VPN, DLP, TCP, UDP, DNS, IPv4, IPv6, BGP, GRE, SD-WAN, MPLS, and global traffic management.
- Zero-trust network access, SASE, identity management, and authentication.
- Cloud computing technologies including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
