## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for feed relevance, aligning machine learning solutions with product and business objectives.
- Coach and develop a team of machine learning engineers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, set expectations, and communicate the team’s work.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of relevance, discovery, and content distribution systems.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on next-generation AI-powered solutions.
- Maintain high standards for system performance, reliability, efficiency, and responsible AI practices.
- Partner with recruiting to attract, interview, and hire machine learning engineers.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and managing high-performing machine learning teams.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale production machine learning systems, including transformer-based architectures, sequence models, or large language models.
- Strong understanding of recommender systems, including candidate retrieval, ranking, value modeling, ecosystem dynamics, and measurement strategies.
- Ability to develop and communicate technical strategy aligned with broader company objectives.
- Passion for scalable, well-designed, and responsible AI solutions that drive business value.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: **$266,000–$372,400 USD**.
