## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Represent users by bringing findings on design quality, visual editing workflows, and content creation patterns to the team.
- Run discovery end-to-end, including user interviews, competitive research, usability testing, data analysis, and messaging for upcoming features.
- Own the design quality bar so AI-generated outputs are consistent, on-brand, and give users confidence to experiment and ship.
- Scope functionality carefully, validate it through user feedback and metrics, and remove what does not work.
- Enable sales, support, and marketing teams to discuss design features accurately and confidently.
- Audit the current state of AI-generated visual output and define quality gaps.
- Own the first iteration of a coherent theming and design system experience.
- Research the visual editing workflows users rely on most and identify where they break down.

## Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in the software industry.
- Experience in product management or engineering leadership for design tools, visual editors, or creative platforms such as Figma, Canva, Webflow, or similar.
- Deep understanding of design systems, theming, typography, and layout.
- Strong judgment about what makes visual output feel professional.
- Experience thinking about design in an AI-first context, including how generative AI can produce, adapt, and maintain visual quality at scale.
- Technical curiosity and sufficient understanding of design tools and AI systems to make strong product decisions.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience closing the gap between AI-generated output and genuinely designed experiences.
- Strong opinions on how AI should make design decisions on behalf of users.
