## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead an engineering squad to deliver customer value from planning through delivery, quality, and follow-through.
- Set milestones, maintain execution through ambiguity and competing priorities, and ship in small, observable increments.
- Make confident decisions when the path is unclear and lead the team through them.
- Establish an operating rhythm that helps the team move quickly without unnecessary ceremony.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure, with strong peer review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices.
- Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and incident response.
- Coach direct reports and create meaningful development opportunities.
- Hire, onboard, and manage performance.
- Use AI tools to accelerate team velocity, prototyping, and delivery.
- Partner across engineering and other departments to align efforts with customer success.

## Requirements
- 3+ years managing engineers at a SaaS company, ideally in an early- to mid-stage environment.
- Track record of driving execution and delivering outcomes with clear milestones, dates, and ownership.
- Strong technical background with the ability to participate in architecture conversations and design reviews.
- Recent experience shipping technical work.
- Ability to operate autonomously, create clarity, and make difficult tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated AI-native leadership, including introducing AI-first practices to team workflows.
- Experience building high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams.
- Clear, concise, and direct verbal and written communication.

## Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: **$185,000-$215,000 USD**, or equivalent in local currency, depending on experience and subject to market-rate adjustment.
