## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of complex features and systems, from architecture and implementation through deployment and observability.
- Design and evolve AI-native services that embed LLMs and reasoning capabilities into product workflows.
- Collaborate with product, design, data, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver AI-powered user and developer experiences.
- Make architectural decisions balancing rapid experimentation with scalability and reliability.
- Lead the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs, and core data infrastructure.
- Build user-facing features that connect frontend interfaces with backend systems.
- Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into backend pipelines and product logic.
- Architect performant, secure, and scalable enterprise services with monitoring and observability.
- Improve internal tooling, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and automated testing practices.
- Build with enterprise-grade security and compliance requirements, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001, in mind.

## Requirements
- Strong background in backend systems and API design, with production SaaS experience.
- Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages, such as Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
- Experience designing distributed systems.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and building UI components that interface with backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and ideally graph databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
- Pragmatic, product-driven approach suited to a high-velocity startup environment.

## Nice to Have
- Experience integrating AI or LLM features.
- Experience with enterprise workflow systems.
- Experience building microservices or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with high-throughput or low-latency systems.
- Open-source contributions or a strong portfolio of technical work.
