## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a highly technical team responsible for measurement systems and 3D experiences powering Hover's products.
- Set technical direction for measurement accuracy, rendering technologies, and platform modernization.
- Partner with Product, Modeling, and CV/ML teams to deliver customer impact.
- Remain hands-on by coding with the team 1–2 days per week.
- Partner with engineers on architecture decisions, debugging complex systems, and solving computational geometry and graphics problems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance, scalability, and customer outcomes.
- Drive technical excellence, operational excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers at different career stages.
- Balance technical priorities with business objectives and lead project execution.

## Requirements
- 1–2+ years of engineering management experience leading software engineering teams.
- 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience in graphics engineering, computational geometry, CAD systems, rendering technologies, or related domains.
- Deep understanding of 3D mathematics, geometry, spatial reasoning, and computational algorithms.
- Willingness to stay technical and dive deeply into code.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Strong project leadership, execution, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in fast-moving startup or growth-stage environments.
- Pragmatic, non-dogmatic approach to technology and problem solving.
- Enthusiasm for modern engineering tools and AI-assisted development workflows.

## Nice to Haves
- JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web graphics technologies.
- Three.js, WebGL, WebGPU, or related rendering frameworks.
- Large-scale geometry processing systems.
- CAD, GIS, digital twin, mapping, or simulation platforms.
- WebAssembly (WASM) and performance-critical browser applications.
- Frontend rendering systems and backend computational services.
- Cloud-based distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
