## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Develop and own vehicle-level safety cases for driving functions and platform integration
- Translate safety analysis into clear, implementable safety requirements and constraints
- Apply **ISO 26262** Part 3 (Concept Phase), Part 4 (System Development), and Part 9 (analysis & decomposition)
- Work across vehicle features (braking, steering, **ADAS**, body functions) to identify risks and define mitigations
- Hands-on development of safety artifacts aligned to road-driving features (e.g., **hazard analysis**, **FMEA**, safety case structures)
- Collaborate with HW, SW, and integration teams to ensure safety is correctly implemented end-to-end
- System level working knowledge and good exposure to **HW FMEA**'s for vehicle safety case measures
- Support vehicle bring-up and validation with safety checks aligned to system behavior
- Create and maintain safety artifacts (**hazard analysis**, **FMEA**, safety case, traceability)
- Experience with or willingness to support mining / off-road vehicle safety programs
- Familiarity with **ISO 19014** or **ISO 13849**
- Exposure to system-level hazard analysis and safety requirements for heavy machinery

## Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline
- **2+ years** of experience in functional safety or systems engineering, preferably within an OEM or Tier-1 **ADAS** program
- Hands-on experience in vehicle-level safety case development
- Strong knowledge of **ISO 26262** and road vehicle features enablement

## Nice to Have
- Experience working in OEM / Tier-1 / vehicle programs preferred
- Experience with **HARA/HAZOP**, **System FMEA**, and safety case derivation
- Good understanding of vehicle systems (**ADAS**, braking, steering, control systems)
- Ability to bridge system, hardware, and software interactions

## Compensation
- Base salary range: **$113,800 - $250,000 USD** annually
