## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end review of employer KYB/KYC cases, including business verification and beneficial-owner/officer identity checks.
- Apply compliance policy and exercise sound judgment on ambiguous or high-risk cases.
- Build and maintain runbooks and source-of-truth documentation for KYB/KYC review processes.
- Define and own an exception-handling framework, including escalation criteria, owners, and timelines.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to diagnose recurring failure patterns and scope fixes that improve automated approval rates and reduce manual review time.
- Build and maintain reporting on case volume, approval rates, and review times.
- Support teammates handling complex or ambiguous cases.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, KYB/KYC, fraud/risk, or trust and safety operations.
- Direct experience reviewing business or identity verification documentation.
- Experience writing and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, or source-of-truth operational documentation.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product or Engineering to diagnose process failures and scope fixes.
- Ability to make and document judgment calls on ambiguous or high-risk cases within a compliance framework.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working across admin tools, data/query tools, ticketing platforms, and review platforms.

## Nice-to-haves
- Prior people leadership or interest in growing into people management.
- SQL or data-querying experience, including tools such as Metabase or Hex.
- Experience in fintech, banking-as-a-service, or payments with direct KYB/KYC exposure.
- Familiarity with beneficial ownership and customer due diligence rules, sole proprietorships, PEOs, or trusts.
- Experience in a fast-scaling startup where processes are still being built.
- CAMS, CFE, or another relevant certification.
- Advanced degree in compliance or risk.

## Compensation
- Estimated annual compensation: **$91,000–$118,000 USD**.
