## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Deploy new Synthetics locations
- Develop tooling to manage existing Synthetics locations
- Design, plan, and develop tools to perform various types of migrations in a fully automated way without any downtime across many regions and cloud providers
- Help shape new infrastructure technologies serving the Synthetics product
- Be an expert helping Synthetics developers make better architecture decisions and configure their services

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Programming experience with a structured programming language (Go, Python)
- Experience running production environments within one or several Cloud environments
- Value correctness and efficiency; thorough when diagnosing production issues
- Handle infrastructure with code; leverage automation to focus on complex problems
- Production experience with distributed compute/storage tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Cassandra, Postgres, Kafka, Redis)

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with systems and tooling including: Terraform, Bazel, Temporal, build tooling, configuration management, container orchestration
