> The Scientific Program Analyst develops research operations policies, SOPs, training materials, and digital resources supporting NINDS extramural programs. The role requires a relevant master’s degree, strong technical writing, knowledge of NIH grants, web content development, and stakeholder coordination.

## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain website content, Microsoft Teams channels, and information databases such as SharePoint sites for extramural operations.
- Coordinate with extramural operations colleagues to plan and attend meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain centralized resources tracking key issues, action items, and extramural updates.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures, guidance documentation, and training materials for research operations.
- Review extramural activities and workflows involving internal and enterprise systems; identify issues and recommend improvements.
- Analyze and condense material from diverse sources for presentation.
- Support existing projects and the development, initiation, and execution of new project initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver formal presentations for division leadership and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular progress reports to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Track SOP development, deliverable dates, integrated tasks, and next steps.
- Develop plans to improve branch outreach, education, and interaction strategies.
- Organize and maintain repositories of presentations, meeting minutes, reports, spreadsheets, and web pages related to extramural operations.
- Work with the Office of Communications and Public Liaison to support communications goals.

## Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong writing skills.
- Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms.
- Website content development experience.
- Ability to establish collaborations.
- Plain-language communication skills.
- Preferred fields include Neuroscience, Biochemical Sciences, Biology, Cognitive Science and Biopsychology, Environmental Science, Genetics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Communications, Computer and Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Community and Public Health.

## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Drupal or another web content management system.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $110,000–$115,000 USD.
