Accounting Manager
Lead accounting operations for a global fintech/payments platform. Own technical accounting, month-end close, GAAP reporting, and team leadership in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and operational teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and support key business initiatives
- Research, document, and present technical accounting positions; own resolution of critical issues with external auditors
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures, partnering with stakeholders to operationalize them across the business
- Build scalable reconciliation frameworks supporting the month-end close, external audit, and regulatory requirements
- Support the review of consolidated financial statements and statutory reporting for international subsidiaries
- Prepare GAAP financial statements for year-end audit and analyze revenue contracts for compliance with ASC 606
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements across manual close processes
- Communicate financial results clearly to leadership and key stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accountants in a collaborative environment
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC
- Proven ability to build automated processes for large datasets and complex reconciliations
- Experience leveraging AI for process automation, technical research, and memo preparation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a remote-first, high-growth environment
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Ramp, Zip, FloQast, or similar platforms
- Background in regulated industries — financial services, payments, or technology
- Big 4 experience and/or CPA designation
