## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems.
- Provide technical leadership for customers evaluating and adopting Databricks.
- Consult on big-data architecture, execute proofs of concept for strategic customer projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
- Build and present reference architectures and how-to materials, and demonstrate applications for customers.
- Promote open-source projects including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
- Travel to meet customers in the assigned territory.

## Requirements
- **8+ years** in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role, preferably working with big-data technologies.
- Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
- Programming and debugging experience in at least one of Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
- Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Experience with data warehousing technologies such as SQL and OLTP/OLAP/DSS.
- Undergraduate degree or higher in an engineering or mathematics discipline, such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with global system integrators, consulting organizations, financial services technology, or financial services data providers.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Local pay range: **$219,100–$301,300 USD**.
- Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
