## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Upstart's end-to-end credit conversion experience, from application start through offer acceptance and beyond.
- Identify and solve high-leverage friction points across the conversion funnel.
- Optimize Upstart's credit portfolio, including personal loans and product matching.
- Set success metrics, prioritize high-ROI opportunities, and use experimentation to guide decisions.
- Segment funnel behavior, analyze results, and identify downstream effects.
- Build customer understanding with research, consumer insights, and product marketing.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, design, analytics, ML, marketing, compliance, and executive leadership.
- Use GenAI for qualitative synthesis, exploratory analysis, and concept prototyping.

## Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Significant B2C ownership of high-scale mobile and desktop consumer experiences with measurable business impact.
- Demonstrated success improving complex conversion funnels through product strategy, experimentation, analytics, and customer insight.
- Experience leading teams toward specific KPIs such as conversion improvements and revenue growth.
- Exceptional quantitative judgment, including funnel analysis, behavioral segmentation, opportunity sizing, and experiment interpretation.
- Strong experimentation skills, including hypothesis development, experiment design, A/B testing, and results analysis.
- Strong consumer product intuition for high-consideration decisions involving trust, uncertainty, or tradeoffs.
- Ability to connect strategic product questions with detailed experience design decisions.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience in fintech, lending, financial services, marketplaces, insurance, or another regulated, high-consideration industry.
- Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, matching, pricing, or ML-powered consumer experiences.
- Familiarity with identity, bank linking, income verification, Plaid, or similar financial-data infrastructure.
- Experience building and scaling multi-product ecosystems or B2C marketplaces.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Anticipated base salary range: **$187,900–$260,000 USD**.
- Target bonuses, equity compensation, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
