## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own high-scale fraud detection and mitigation, payments operations, and risk assessment from strategy through execution and post-launch measurement.
- Lead complex fraud investigations, perform root-cause analyses, and propose rule improvements and cross-functional actions.
- Write SQL queries to analyze fraud and payments data.
- Build reporting, monitoring dashboards, and alerts using tools such as Mode and Datadog.
- Program-manage cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Legal, Payments Strategy, Product, Revenue, and other partners.
- Conduct risk assessments for new product launches, identify fraud exposure, and execute mitigation strategies.
- Communicate business impact to cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and support team-wide quality and knowledge sharing.

## Requirements
- 4–5+ years of experience in payments, fraud, or risk operations.
- Hands-on experience with card network rules, chargebacks, and dispute processes.
- Deep knowledge of payments flows and Visa, Mastercard, and American Express rules.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing large datasets.
- Experience building reporting and monitoring workflows with BI and alerting tools such as Mode and Datadog.
- Ability to independently own an end-to-end function and execute mid-size programs with minimal oversight.
- Strong judgment in ambiguous situations and ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including translating technical findings into business-impact narratives.
- Experience mentoring others or serving as a technical resource in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

## Compensation
- Base salary: $144,000–$162,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
