## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Investigate partner and merchant activity, identify relevant risks and facts, and take appropriate action under established policies and sound judgment.
- Own complex cases end to end, including research, decision-making, documentation, stakeholder communication, and follow-through.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned operational processes and risk requirements.
- Liaise between financial partners and merchants, including startups and established institutions.
- Maintain regular communication with cross-functional stakeholders and lead working sessions when needed.
- Identify gaps in systems, policies, and processes; recommend and help implement practical improvements.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
- Use AI-assisted workflows appropriately to improve operational quality, speed, and consistency.

## Requirements
- 1.5+ years of experience in risk operations, fraud prevention, investigations, disputes, chargebacks, financial intelligence, trust and safety, compliance, payments, or related operations.
- Advanced conversational English fluency; interviews are conducted in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Investigation skills, including gathering information from multiple sources, assessing evidence, and reaching sound conclusions.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated end-to-end ownership.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, make informed decisions, and engage appropriate partners.
- Proactive, curious approach to understanding root causes, challenging assumptions, and improving processes.
- High attention to detail and consistent documentation, quality, and process adherence.
- Ability to work 100% in office Monday through Friday from the company’s Mexico City office.

## Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, or startups.
- Experience with financial partners, card networks, banks, or regulated financial institutions.
- Experience with partner risk, merchant risk, fraud, chargebacks, disputes, Know Your Business, financial intelligence, or compliance operations.
- Experience using data or analytics to inform operational decisions or process improvements.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional work across teams with different priorities and expertise.
- Experience improving standard operating procedures, policies, or operational tools.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted operational workflows.
