## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout all stages of the customer sales lifecycle.
- Build sales presentations and product demonstrations for developers, product managers, and C-level executives.
- Educate customers on ways to secure identity using the Okta Identity Platform.
- Identify customers’ technical needs through detailed, clarifying questions and present targeted solutions.
- Advise diverse customers on identity security possibilities.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, including at the whiteboard.
- Articulate business value and share knowledge with skilled and experienced audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet customers, including through travel.

## Requirements
- Experience in pre-sales, such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-Sales Consulting.
- Knowledge of at least one network security protocol, such as OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, or LDAP.
- Knowledge of identity governance and administration, including identity lifecycle management, access reviews, role-based access control, and policy enforcement.
- Knowledge of privileged access management, including least privilege, just-in-time access, session monitoring, and credential vaulting.
- Understanding of application security concerns, including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF.
- Understanding of sales methodologies and best practices, including MEDDPICCC.
- Experience with large enterprise or strategic-sector customers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate business value.
- Willingness to travel and meet customers.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience with identity and access management, single sign-on, and API-based solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field.
- Software development experience.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary in the United Kingdom: £108,000–£160,000 GBP.
