## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Run full-cycle recruiting for open roles across engineering, GTM, clinical, and operations.
- Source relentlessly through cold outreach and other channels (best hires do not apply via job boards).
- Partner directly with the CEO and hiring managers to scope roles, calibrate bars, and close candidates.
- Own the ATS (Ashby), pipeline metrics, and interview process quality.
- Build recruiting machinery: structured interviews, scorecards, referral programs, employer brand.
- Effectively tell the Hike story to passive candidates (e.g., staff engineers at hot AI companies).
- Manage agencies and contract recruiters when needed.
- Over time, hire and lead recruiters as headcount grows.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with meaningful time in-house at a startup.
- Proven ability to close hard searches: technical roles, senior leaders, or competitive markets.
- Sourcing is a core strength; can demonstrate pipelines built from cold outreach.
- Strong writer and communicator; every candidate interaction increases excitement.
- Highly organized; able to run 6+ searches simultaneously without dropping candidates.
- Strong judgment on people (first filter for all new hires).
- Ambition to grow into a recruiting leadership role (Head of Talent).

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience recruiting across diverse functions: engineering/design, sales/clinical, and manufacturing/operations.
- Familiarity with Ashby ATS.
- Background in AI, healthcare, or hardware/manufacturing sectors.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive compensation: $140,000 - $190,000 base.
