## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on implementation and deployment services to customers in a post-sales role.
- Gather, analyze, and document post-sales requirements.
- Communicate with customers and partners at appropriate technical or functional levels.
- Deliver excellent design and deployment solutions to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Manage project scope, schedule, status, and documentation.
- Mentor and train customers on the Okta service.
- Act as a liaison between customers and Product Management to drive product development.
- Lead collaboration with Okta teams such as Engineering and Support for escalated issues.
- Collaborate with sales teams on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities for existing customers.
- Perform hands-on technical design, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Okta service.
- Design new offerings and improve delivery methods to enhance customer satisfaction and scalability.
- Manage multiple concurrent deployment projects.
- Apply knowledge of identity federation protocols (SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and access control models.
- Leverage experience with cloud architectures, enterprise on-premise IT landscapes, and SaaS deployments (e.g., Salesforce, Box, Office 365, Workday).
- Utilize software development skills (Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, REST/JSON) for customer integrations.
- Apply knowledge of enterprise identity lifecycle management processes.
- Use JavaScript and MVC frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Ember, React) for integrations.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Ensure quality and time management processes (change controls, time tracking).
- Contribute to knowledge repository for continuous improvement.
- Travel up to 25% to customer sites.

## Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
- Software development experience (Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, REST/JSON, etc.).
- Knowledge of enterprise web technologies, security, and cutting-edge infrastructures.
- Experience with JavaScript and one of the major JavaScript MVC frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Ember, React, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and multi-functionally.
- General knowledge of cloud architectures and complex enterprise on-premise IT landscapes.
- Knowledge of typical enterprise identity lifecycle management processes and standards.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer engagements.
- Hands-on contributor with superb communication skills, including issue tracking, triaging, and crisis management.
- Experience in process improvement, decision-making, managing processes, planning, analyzing information, and developing standards.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience designing and implementing security and identity management solutions.
- Experience with identity federation and access control protocols (SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- AD and LDAP experience.
- Experience with popular AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT).
- Familiarity with API management using Mulesoft, Axway, or Apigee.
- SaaS deployment experience with Salesforce, Box, Office 365, Workday, and HR systems as master for identities.
