## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable, observable, reusable automations and integrations across Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR, identity, engineering, and ticketing systems using Workato and adjacent platforms.
- Lead cross-functional integration projects from requirements and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Operationalize AI-powered workflows and agents, including knowledge retrieval, intelligent triage, automated approvals, and autonomous or prompted user workflows, by integrating Glean and other AI tools in a governed manner.
- Establish standards for automation design, testing, monitoring, observability, documentation, security, and compliance.
- Implement error handling, alerting, runbooks, routing, and remediation patterns for automations.
- Champion engineering practices including version control, peer reviews, CI/CD for recipes, and configuration-as-code where appropriate.
- Translate business problems into technical designs and roadmaps, balancing quick wins with scalable architectures and measurable outcomes.
- Mentor and enable other engineers and analysts through design reviews, pairing, documentation, and training.
- Explore automation patterns, AI agent capabilities, and integration approaches while maintaining governance and reliability.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automation, integration, or data engineering roles delivering complex, business-critical systems.
- Expertise with Workato, including recipe design, API integrations, SDK/custom connectors, error handling, and operational best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Glean or similar AI knowledge platforms, including administration, API usage, and AI retrieval or agentic workflow integrations.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR, Okta, identity platforms, and engineering or ticketing systems.
- Strong automation architecture and design skills, including reusable patterns, reference architectures, and components.
- Background in ETL/ELT, data modeling, and SQL/T-SQL.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or Ruby.
- Experience operationalizing enterprise automation workflows and AI models, including monitoring, observability, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to lead by influence and mentor peers without direct people-management responsibilities.

## Nice to Have
- Workato Automation Pro certification.
- Experience in SaaS or B2B environments.

- Base salary: **$160,000–$185,000** plus bonus and equity.
