## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own Kaizen's events strategy end-to-end, including the annual calendar, budget, conference selection, sponsorships, and reporting.
- Evaluate conferences and sponsorships, negotiate sponsorship levels and booth placement, and manage vendors and production partners.
- Own booth design, demo staging, collateral, and swag.
- Run the field motion alongside Sales, including account targeting, pre-event outreach, meeting scheduling, travel, staffing, and follow-up.
- Lead executive dinners, agency roundtables, closed-door briefings, and other satellite events around major conferences.
- Secure speaking opportunities, panel placements, and awards for Kaizen leadership in partnership with Brand & Storytelling and Government Affairs.
- Scope and build Kaizen-hosted events such as summits, dinner series, and recurring briefings.
- Manage the events budget and build reporting tied to pipeline, qualified meetings, and cost per meeting.
- Work with Legal to ensure events comply with federal, state, and local ethics rules governing gifts and hospitality.

## Requirements
- 5–15 years of experience in events, experiential marketing, or field marketing.
- Direct ownership of events strategy and budget.
- Experience owning a conference circuit, including show selection, sponsorship valuation, booth production, and event operations.
- Experience partnering with Sales on targeting and follow-up, with measurement against pipeline.
- Experience producing owned events such as dinners, roundtables, and summits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to draft invitations, event briefs, run-of-show documents, and executive preparation materials.
- Sound judgment under time pressure and public visibility.
- Strong operational skills covering shipping, badge scans, AV, staffing, and event logistics.
- Ability to manage vendors, agencies, and production partners.
- High autonomy and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Emotional intelligence, thoughtfulness, and empathy for public-sector missions.

## Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of the federal conference landscape and public-sector buyers.
- Experience producing events for federal or public-sector audiences.
- Relationships with Washington venues, producers, and association organizers.
- Experience building an events program from part-time or fractional coverage.
- Credibility with senior government audiences.
- Familiarity with federal ethics rules and gift and hospitality limits.
- Comfort using AI tools in daily workflows.

- Contract role at approximately 10 hours per week; extension and conversion to full-time are possible.
