## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead the direct advertising sales business, owning its strategy and execution.
- Sell Chess.com web and app advertising solutions, including programmatic direct, sponsorships, custom packages, and new-to-market formats.
- Own the end-to-end sales process, including marketing, prospecting, negotiations, closing, execution, and account management.
- Build market awareness by developing relationships with brands and advertising agencies.
- Partner with Business Development to generate custom solutions for partners.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data to identify and develop advertising solutions that appeal to the market and comply with brand guidelines.

## Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in direct digital advertising sales, with a strong record of growing revenue.
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem across web and mobile platforms.
- Existing relationships with agency and brand leaders.
- Ability to build a business from scratch with limited processes and infrastructure.
- Strategic and creative thinking combined with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Chess player or enthusiast preferred.
- Lifelong learner.
