## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth, agile user research, including foundational research, usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies.
- Develop and maintain user personas and journey maps.
- Integrate iterative testing and feedback loops into the agile product development lifecycle.
- Plan and facilitate usability testing, including participant recruitment, script development, analysis, and communication of findings.
- Collect and analyze user data to identify patterns, trends, and product opportunities.
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and documentation that communicate actionable findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate research into product development and align user needs with business objectives.
- Coach and mentor junior researchers.
- Monitor UX research trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Educate broader teams on user insights and the value of user research.
- Adapt research plans and methods to evolving project requirements and business needs.

## Requirements
- Proficiency in mixed-methods research, including 1:1 interviews, focus groups, surveys, behavioral analysis, card sorting, and tree testing.
- Ability to select and combine qualitative and quantitative methods appropriately.
- Experience using AI to accelerate analysis, synthesize insights, and automate research tasks.
- Comfort with prototype development to help cross-functional partners move from insights to action.
- Ability to independently identify research opportunities and own complex projects.
- Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- A diverse portfolio demonstrating complex research projects and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborative, empathetic, adaptable, and growth-oriented approach.
- **5+ years of mixed-methods research experience.**

## Compensation and Benefits
- ATS salary range: **$173,400–$249,300 annually**.
- Listed pay range reflects total cash compensation, including annual base salary and annual bonus where applicable.
- Additional benefits may include equity, company bonuses, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, flexible PTO, parental leave, employee assistance and wellbeing benefits, global travel coverage, life and disability insurance, FSA/HSA, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- Tier 1 pay range for San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle: **$199,400–$249,300 USD**.
- Tier 2 pay range for all other US locations: **$173,400–$216,700 USD**.
