## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build security architectures for ground station infrastructure and space communication protocols.
- Design and implement security controls for distributed phased array antenna systems tracking multiple satellites.
- Own security across the stack from RF protocols to Kubernetes clusters.
- Deploy enterprise SIEM solutions handling terabytes of satellite data with audit trails.
- Pioneer security playbooks for space communications as primary liaison for Space Force and government customers.
- Lead incident response and threat hunting across global ground station network.
- Create automated compliance pipelines for FedRAMP and NIST 800-171 without slowing deployments.

## Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years production experience with infrastructure as code (**Terraform**, **AWS CDK**).
- Ability to obtain and maintain **TS/SCI** clearance.
- Experience with security architecture reviews in regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of **NIST 800-171**, **CUI**, **FedRAMP**.
- Familiarity with government cloud (**AWS GovCloud**, **Azure Government**) and CI/CD in air-gapped networks.
- Proficiency in **Python**, **Go**, **Rust**.
- Experience implementing defensive controls for endpoints, SaaS, and infrastructure.

## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale log ingestion pipelines.
- Hands-on with **SIEM** (**Splunk**, **QRadar**, **Sentinel**, **Panther**) and endpoint security (**CrowdStrike**, **SentinelOne**).
- Strong **Linux** experience in production.
- Knowledge of **DFARS** compliance and government contracting security.
- Familiarity with **EMASS** or similar tools.
- Ability to own complex security projects impacting national security.
