## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Talk to users to understand their goals and challenges.
- Help customers design and optimize their Metabase implementation.
- Guide customers in getting data from various sources, transforming it into useful shapes, and converting questions into executable queries.
- Solve complex problems and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Collaborate with technical communicators to create educational materials for customers.
- Represent the customer voice to product and engineering teams and help drive product development.

## Requirements
- Enjoy helping people and solving their problems.
- **3+ years of experience** writing production code, administering systems, and/or managing databases.
- Strong database and SQL skills.
- Strong technical expertise in at least two of the following areas, including the ability to investigate and diagnose complex technical issues:
  - Designing, developing, and troubleshooting web applications.
  - Managing and troubleshooting infrastructure, including Docker, AWS, GCP, or similar technologies.
  - Managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing databases.

## Nice to Have
- Experience with Metabase or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience working for an open source product.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
