## Job Description

## Training & Development

- Complete structured onboarding, instructor-led learning, hands-on practice, real-world simulations, assessments, coaching, and feedback.
- Build expertise in clinical documentation, medical terminology, healthcare technology, provider workflows, and documentation best practices.
- Transition to live documentation responsibilities after successful completion of training, with ongoing coaching, mentorship, and quality support.

## Responsibilities

### Clinical Documentation

- Accurately document patient encounters in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Capture patient history, review of systems, physical examination findings, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, medications, and other clinically relevant information.
- Ensure documentation reflects clinician observations, assessments, and medical decision-making.
- Review documentation for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before submission.
- Complete documentation within established turnaround-time and productivity expectations.
- Apply onboarding, coaching, and quality feedback to improve accuracy and efficiency.

### Clinician Support

- Support clinicians across specialties including primary care, internal medicine, oncology, orthopedics, and rheumatology.
- Learn clinician-specific workflows, documentation preferences, and specialty requirements.
- Adapt documentation style and workflow to individual clinician requirements.
- Communicate professionally with providers and internal stakeholders.

### Documentation Quality

- Produce documentation that meets organizational quality standards and clinician expectations.
- Apply specialty- and provider-specific documentation guidelines and best practices.
- Identify inconsistencies and seek clarification through appropriate channels.
- Incorporate quality reviews, coaching, and audit feedback into daily work.
- Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and calibration activities.

### Technology & Workflow Management

- Use EHR systems and documentation platforms effectively.
- Develop proficiency with Commure's Ambient AI documentation technology and workflow tools.
- Navigate multiple systems while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and quality.
- Follow operational workflows, standard operating procedures, and documentation processes.
- Escalate workflow, technology, or system issues appropriately.

### Compliance & Information Security

- Comply with HIPAA and applicable patient privacy, confidentiality, and information-security requirements.
- Protect Protected Health Information (PHI) according to organizational policies.
- Follow compliance, security, and documentation standards.
- Complete required compliance and security training on schedule.

### Continuous Learning & Collaboration

- Complete onboarding, certification, and ongoing training programs.
- Develop knowledge of medical terminology, specialty documentation, healthcare workflows, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, coachability, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Participate in refresher training, coaching, quality reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Training, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Seek guidance from trainers, mentors, and quality teams.
- Support initiatives that improve documentation quality, clinician satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
