## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own supplier quality for steel fabrication and building systems suppliers feeding the modular build.
- Audit fabrication shops on weld quality, dimensional control, and coating systems before and during production.
- Run source inspections on fabricated assemblies so defects get caught at the shop, not at the site crane.
- Standardize the quality requirements flowdown so every fabricator builds to the same bar.
- Bring shops up to standard rather than just documenting that they miss it.

## Requirements
- Experience in quality assurance in steel fabrication: welds, dimensions, coatings.
- Ability to read weld procedure specifications and structural drawings fluently.
- Experience rejecting fabricated work and managing the schedule fallout it caused.

## Nice-to-Haves
- AWS CWI certification.
- AISC-certified shop experience.
- NDE methods.
- Modular construction QA.
