## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Accounts Payable
- Process and code invoices, manage the finance mailbox, and resolve AP issues such as duplicates, mismatches, and outstanding items.
- Run weekly and monthly payments through SEPA and PayPal.
- Reconcile corporate card transactions.
- Maintain vendor records and support AP process improvements.

### Reconciliations and General Accounting
- Perform bank, credit card, and AP subledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring entries and revenue recognition.
- Support month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Investigate discrepancies and unusual transactions proactively.

### VAT, Tax, and Compliance
- Prepare Dutch VAT returns, including OB, OSS, and ICP filings.
- Support WKR compliance.
- Assist with international VAT, GST, and sales tax filings.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and monitor Dutch and EU tax regulation changes.

### Audit and Process Improvement
- Support external audits with schedules and documentation.
- Improve NetSuite processes, bank-feed and expense integrations, and Finance workflows.
- Identify automation opportunities, including the use of AI.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong accounting fundamentals and Dutch GAAP experience.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite.
- Solid knowledge of Dutch and EU VAT, including OB, OSS, and ICP filings, and WKR.
- A degree or relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience with revenue recognition.
- Strong attention to detail and an organized, structured approach.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues.
- Strong written and spoken Dutch and English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a small Finance team.

## Nice to Have
- Experience with international VAT, GST, or sales tax.
- Experience in international B2C, SaaS, or subscription businesses.
- Experience with high-volume transactions.
- Experience with consolidation.
