## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead technical sales cycles for complex enterprise accounts as a trusted technical advisor.
- Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to uncover customer challenges involving risk, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Run discovery, identify underlying business needs, and connect Okta’s integrations and scalable architecture to customer requirements.
- Translate technical concepts into compelling business value for CISOs, IT security leaders, identity engineers, enterprise architects, PAM administrators, and application owners.
- Present Okta’s differentiators, including highly available architecture, regulatory compliance, and broad platform coverage.
- Advise customers on discovering unmanaged AI agents, evaluating risk, and establishing centralized control of human and non-human identities.
- Lead technical evaluations, overcome objections, and drive enterprise deals to technical closure.
- Build consultative customer relationships and serve as a subject matter expert in identity security, modern identity standards, and Zero Trust Architecture.

## Requirements
- Recent, proven customer-facing pre-sales experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Pre-Sales Engineer.
- Strong record of quota attainment and securing technical wins with large, complex enterprise accounts.
- Excellent executive communication, presentation, storytelling, and consultative selling skills.
- Experience leading value-based sales motions and influencing technical and business decision-makers.
- Strong technical foundation and ability to learn enterprise technologies and architectures quickly.
- Broad understanding of identity security, including identity governance, privileged access management, threat protection, modern authentication protocols, and Zero Trust Architecture.

## Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience positioning and selling Identity Governance and Administration solutions.
- Hands-on experience positioning and selling Privileged Access Management solutions.
- Experience with identity security automation workflows.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence tools, AI agents, LLM integrations, and non-human identity security risks.

## Compensation
- San Francisco Bay Area annual on-target compensation: $224,000–$308,000 USD.
- California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington annual on-target compensation: $200,000–$275,000 USD.
- Equity and benefits may include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave.
