## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Edit shortform videos for YouTube Shorts and other platforms.
- Work with researchers and engineers to identify stories and findings suited to video.
- Collaborate with the Shortform Video Creator to develop concepts, capture footage, and produce videos.
- Edit footage from the Village website, interview clips, and other sources.
- Support publishing and iterate on videos based on audience reception.
- Own the editing portion of the creative process.

## Requirements
- Strong general competence and experience editing high-quality videos.
- Portfolio or examples of best work.
- Strong creative vision.
- Good epistemic judgment and ability to work quickly while seeking truth.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience getting strong results from AI image and video generation.
- Deep interest in AI safety and beneficial AI development.
- Willingness to contribute beyond editing, including writing, coding, or data visualization.
- Existing large audience, such as on social media.

## Compensation
- $40–$70 per hour.
- Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week.
