## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and strategy for Scale's Coding portfolio across SFT and preference data, reinforcement learning environments, agentic task suites, and evaluation products.
- Extend the SWE-Bench Pro and SWE Atlas franchises and convert benchmark authority into training-data and environment revenue.
- Align AI Product Management, ML, Engineering, Operations, and Go-to-Market stakeholders.
- Evaluate and operationalize coding product proposals based on customer demand, model capabilities, and company strategy.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and task taxonomy design through pilot, launch, scaling, and sunset decisions.
- Partner with ML researchers and senior software engineers on task specifications, rubric and grader design, reward signals, and code-correctness quality standards.
- Drive coding infrastructure for container environments, execution sandboxes, reproducible repository images, automated verification, and contributor tooling.
- Establish governance for data quality, contamination and leakage prevention, license and IP hygiene, reproducibility, auditability, and release management.
- Grow and steward a network of expert software-engineer contributors across languages, frameworks, and seniority levels.
- Own external partnerships across open-source benchmarks, enterprise codebases, and joint releases.
- Work with frontier AI labs and enterprise customers to understand coding-model failures and guide future investments.
- Track adoption, usage, model-impact signals, and business outcomes to guide roadmap and resource decisions.
- Identify new coding capability areas, including long-horizon agentic work, repo-scale refactoring, debugging, code review, migrations, and low-resource languages.
- Collaborate with Go-to-Market teams on customer engagements, thought leadership, product launches, and strategic partnerships.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong software-engineering technical depth, including the ability to read code and reason about codebases.
- Familiarity with coding-model training and evaluation, post-training methods, agentic scaffolds and harnesses, and coding benchmarks such as SWE-Bench and Terminal-Bench.
- Experience building and scaling products requiring coordination across engineering, operations, and business teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate ambiguous market and customer signals into product strategy.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of creating products, programs, or business initiatives from the ground up.
- Bias for action and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Passion for advancing AI coding capabilities and software-engineering agents.

## Nice to Have
- Experience working with AI researchers, ML teams, developer tools, or human-in-the-loop data pipelines.

## Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: **$205,600–$257,000 USD** for eligible full-time roles in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle.
- Compensation may include equity and benefits, including health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, generous paid time off, and potentially a commuter stipend.
