## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own the research agenda for patients or practices and execute complex, multi-phase studies from strategy through launch and iteration.
- Define user jobs, needs, mindsets, and meaningful differences across user groups using mixed methods.
- Lead foundational research for ambiguous, zero-to-one opportunities; define problems, test assumptions, evaluate concepts, and inform roadmap decisions.
- Design and field quantitative research, including needs sizing, concept testing, tracking, and sampling strategies for hard-to-reach populations.
- Combine behavioral data with qualitative signals to explain user behavior, drop-offs, and outcomes.
- Evolve measurement programs, including tracking surveys, benchmarks, longitudinal and diary studies, and continuous discovery.
- Package research insights into memorable, usable frameworks for diverse audiences.
- Partner with Product, Design, Brand, Marketing, Sales, Data Science, and leadership to shape product strategy, positioning, go-to-market, and business objectives.
- Build research systems and infrastructure that reduce reactive, one-off research, including external sample, agency, and contractor partnerships.
- Mentor junior researchers and represent UX Research on business-unit leadership teams.

## Requirements
- 7+ years of UX research experience with a strong mixed-methods portfolio.
- Fluency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong sampling judgment and experience reaching small, busy, or guarded populations.
- Experience defining and implementing measurement programs, benchmarks, segmentation, or business-adopted metrics.
- Experience building and leveraging research infrastructure, including sample providers, agencies, and contractors, and making budget cases.
- Depth in consumer products at scale or complex B2B/SaaS products with multi-stakeholder adoption.
- Experience leading foundational, cross-functional research with Data Science and Marketing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including influencing leaders unfamiliar with research.
- Ability to operate at systems-level strategy while managing execution details in ambiguous environments.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience continuously experimenting with AI tools and processes and building scalable agentic infrastructure.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $187,000–$240,000 USD.
