## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Report on individual Solutions Engineer strengths and weaknesses and support performance management.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members.
- Act as a point of escalation for team issues and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and enable new team members.
- Coach team members on delivering AI/ML-focused demos, proofs of concept, and architectural reviews.
- Stay current on AI industry developments and translate emerging trends into actionable team enablement.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to relay regional AI customer feedback and evangelize new AI capabilities.
- Coordinate across Solutions Engineering teams and offices.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and prevent repeated mistakes across teams.
- Build relationships with Product, Support, Engineering, Special Projects, Marketing, Legal, and other teams to support escalations.
- Maintain strong communication with Account Executives and Customer Success leads.
- Monitor team morale, productivity, performance, strengths, and development goals.
- Cultivate positive culture, open communication, independence, and continuous improvement.
- Operate as a high-performing individual contributor capable of handling customer calls.

## Requirements and Experience
- Experience in coaching, leadership, or team management.
- Experience resolving escalations, team issues, or management-related scenarios.
- Track record of partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success teams to deliver solutions to customers.
- Experience in technical pre-sales.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, including large language models.
- Ability to articulate Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, and R2 to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience helping enterprise customers design, prototype, or operationalize AI workloads.
- Knowledge of GDPR, NIS2, DORA, the Cyber Resilience Act, and the AI Act.
- Experience with cloud-native or edge-native architectures, including serverless, object storage, and edge computing platforms.
- Knowledge of the Iberia and Italy enterprise market.

## Compensation and Benefits
- For Portugal-based hires, estimated annual salary is **€110,000–€152,000**, including on-target incentive compensation under the Sales Compensation Plan.
- Eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
