## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
- Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, communicate product value, and resolve identified issues or concerns.
- Technically close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
- Deliver product and technical briefings and presentations to potential clients.
- Maintain accurate CRM notes and feedback regarding customer input, including wins and losses.
- Proactively communicate with customers and Datadog business and technical teams about product feedback and the competitive landscape.

## Requirements
- Passion for educating customers about observability risks that are meaningful to their business.
- Ability to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to articulate both business benefits and technical advantages.
- Programming or scripting experience with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, or .NET.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering.
- Ability to travel by automobile, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
