## Job Description

## Lead Fire Protection Engineering for R&D

- Lead fire protection engineering: detection, suppression, and life safety for modular data centers and BTM plants.
- Own the fire protection reference design: systems selected, coded, and standardized across novel occupancies.
- Drive AHJ strategy: approaches that get first-of-a-kind designs approved without redesign.
- Set the technical bar and grow the discipline as the portfolio scales.

## Requirements
- Led fire protection engineering for industrial, mission-critical, or energy facilities.
- Gotten unusual designs through AHJs by engineering, not arguing.
- Deep knowledge of codes: NFPA 13, 72, 75, 855, and others.
- Evaluated suppression trade-offs for high-value electronics and energy systems.
- Built fire protection standards others design to.

## Nice-to-Haves
- PE in fire protection.
- Performance-based design.
- BESS fire protection.
- Liquid-cooled environment protection.
