## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Own and drive the multi-year product strategy for Okta’s foundational platform suite.
- Translate company vision into an execution-focused roadmap for the Platform portfolio.
- Partner with the CPO, CTO, architectural leadership, and cross-functional executives to align platform investments with corporate strategy.
- Take accountability for business results, platform feature launches, and global resilience and uptime SLAs.
- Mediate resource allocation across architectural scaling, technical debt, and customer-facing initiatives.
- Drive cross-product convergence across:
  - Multi-Product Experiences, including unified policy, AI assistants, universal search, admin dashboard, and platform RBAC.
  - Okta Workflows orchestration and integration ecosystem.
  - Universal Directory performance and reliability.
  - Okta Aerial multi-organization governance.
  - UI Platform design systems and frontend architecture.
  - Licensing and Metering billing, consumption tracking, feature flags, and entitlements.
  - Backup and Recovery, including disaster recovery, configuration backups, and point-in-time restore.
- Build, retain, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers.
- Hire, coach, and address performance gaps while maintaining high execution standards.
- Serve as executive champion for platform strategy with CISOs, CIOs, enterprise accounts, and industry analysts.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to communicate platform value.

## Requirements

- 9–13+ years of progressive Product Management experience in B2B enterprise SaaS, developer platforms, or core infrastructure.
- 3+ years of direct people-management experience managing Product Managers, including senior or principal PMs or Group PMs.
- Strong architectural foundation in identity systems, administrative access control, usage metering, or AI-assisted enterprise workflows.
- Proven record of driving high-throughput launches and owning business or platform outcomes across interconnected product lines.
- Experience mediating engineering resource trade-offs and cross-product dependencies.
- Exceptional strategic narrative development, board-level communication, and executive presence.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

## Nice-to-haves

- Leadership experience across workflow orchestration engines, governance platforms, or disaster recovery solutions.
- Direct Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain knowledge.

## Compensation and Benefits

- San Francisco Bay Area annual base salary: **$258,000–$355,000 USD**.
- California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington annual base salary: **$230,000–$316,000 USD**.
- Equity, bonus, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave, including PTO and parental leave.
