## Job Description

## What You’ll Do
Lead a team of highly technical operators responsible for systems, automation, and operational infrastructure that power Brex’s Operations organization at scale.

Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and Operations leaders to solve complex business problems.

Define the long-term vision for how Brex scales operationally while directly driving execution on high-impact systems, workflows, and AI-powered tooling.

Transform traditional operations into AI-native organizations through intelligent automation, agentic workflows, decision infrastructure, and scalable internal platforms.

## Responsibilities
- Redesign operational work for an AI-native world
- Increase efficiency and automation while maintaining customer experience and risk controls
- Build systems that create leverage across rapidly scaling operational teams

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading Systems, BizOps, TechOps, Internal Platform, or Operational Excellence teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Proven track record of building and scaling internal systems, workflows, and operational tooling that drive measurable business impact
- Experience leveraging AI/LLM technologies to automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, or build internal tools and agentic systems
- Strong understanding of modern operational tooling ecosystems, including Salesforce, Retool, workflow automation tools, and data infrastructure
- Technical fluency with systems architecture and automation development, including JavaScript, Python, SQL, APIs, and AI tooling ecosystems
- Strong analytical and operational mindset with the ability to use data to inform strategy, prioritize investments, and measure business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across highly cross-functional environments and align technical solutions with business strategy
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, drive alignment across stakeholders, and lead complex initiatives from concept to execution
- Strong ownership mentality with a bias toward action and willingness to operate hands-on when needed
