## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Identify regulations applicable to purpose built autonomous vehicles, including FMVSS, EU, UNECE and other international statutes and regulations
- Manage requirements in a formal requirements management tool
- Lead the assessment of compliance and interpretation of the standards in support of engineering design and validation
- Work with the legal team to document interpretations
- Collaborate with test engineers, external laboratories and technical services to confirm interpretations, agree test procedures, and execute compliance tests
- Support on-site certification tests (occasional travel required)
- Draft compliance documentation including information documents and compliance reports
- Monitor future regulatory changes and provide input to support company advocacy

## Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study
- 8+ years of experience in vehicle homologation
- Strong understanding of US and European regulations, particularly related to passive safety
- Creativity to apply existing conventional regulations to novel vehicle designs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop effective solutions efficiently
- Strong understanding of vehicle system design and function
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
