## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Program Ownership
- Own the strategy and execution of Lyft's technical learning portfolio, including engineering continuing education programs, documentation improvement initiatives, and compliance training.
- Manage mid-cycle programs with active stakeholder relationships and scheduled commitments, ensuring continuity, quality, and follow-through.
- Provide editorial oversight for internal technical content initiatives, including the Tech Blog, managing workflow, stakeholder relationships, and publication processes with engineering contributors.
- Assess the current program portfolio and make recommendations based on engineer needs and business priorities.
- Provide engaging learning experiences that empower technologists to do their best work.
- Embed AI upskilling across programs, including LLM education, AI productivity programming, and coordination across AI training functions.
- Partner with internal AI Champions and peer learning program owners to ensure initiatives are connected, complementary, and reaching the right audiences.
- Own and maintain technical learning sites, resources, and reference materials, ensuring content is current and discoverable.

### Program Design and Scaling
- Design programs in ambiguous spaces by clarifying goals, defining success metrics, and building toward sustained program health.
- Leverage champion models and internal subject matter experts to scale content delivery.
- Document and structure programs for self-service or handoff where appropriate.
- Build a scalable, structured continuing education program for engineers, anchored in identified skill gaps.
- Create learning content for technical audiences.

### Cross-Functional Integration
- Partner with the technical onboarding program to integrate onboarding with the broader technical learning ecosystem.
- Integrate technical manager training topics into People Development's manager programming.
- Contribute to resourcing decisions and help shape the structure of the technical learning function.

### Stakeholder Partnership
- Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, infrastructure TPMs, and technology-adjacent teams.
- Partner with HRBPs and People Analytics to understand technical audience needs and measure program impact.
- Navigate dependencies across legal, communications, compliance, LMS, and platform teams.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development, technical program management, or a closely related field, with ownership of complex, cross-functional programs.
- Experience designing and delivering learning programs for technical audiences such as software engineering.
- Comfort reviewing code snippets, understanding Git workflows, opening pull requests, working in GitHub, and building curricula for hands-on technical content.
- Strong program management skills, including managing multiple programs, defining milestones, identifying risks, and adapting in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with AI/ML learning content, technical enablement, or developer education.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Codecademy, Docebo, or Udemy, and experience managing compliance or required training workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, including synthesizing complex tradeoffs and presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where programs may need to be built, inherited, or adapted.
