## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Provide post-sales technical leadership and serve as the subject-matter expert for customers using Forward's technologies.
- Own post-sales technical issues and collaborate cross-functionally to document resolutions and troubleshooting procedures.
- Guide customers through adoption of the Forward Platform.
- Work with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Travel approximately 10%.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent educational experience.
- **5+ years** of customer-facing experience in a post-sales engineering role for a networking company or relevant software vendor, or as a network engineer at a large enterprise, service provider, or government agency.
- Willingness to work onsite at a customer location in Charlotte, NC (hybrid), Jersey City, NJ, or NYC.
- Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
- Experience with multiple network vendors, such as A10, Arista, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.
- Superior presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to resolve problems quickly while maintaining high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution in a fast-paced environment.

## Nice-to-haves
- CCIE, JNCIE, or VCDX certification.
- Startup experience.
- Working knowledge of API-driven workflows and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, jq, and GraphQL.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Starting base salary plus bonus: **$165,000-$190,000 per year**.
- Compensation may also include stock.
- Compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and work location.
