## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead strategy for significant litigation and regulatory enforcement matters from pre-litigation through resolution
- Advise senior leadership on legal risk, enforcement trends, and business impact, particularly in areas affecting fintech, payments, and data use
- Manage and partner closely with outside counsel to drive high-quality, efficient outcomes
- Personally engage on critical aspects of matters, including legal strategy, discovery, and key filings
- Handle complex disputes across areas such as class actions, commercial litigation, privacy, and consumer protection
- Work exceptionally closely with other Counsel teams—including Policy, Product, Regulatory, and Corporate—to align on risk and strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Compliance, and Risk to proactively identify and mitigate issues, consistent with business priorities

## Requirements
- J.D. and active bar membership
- 10+ years of litigation experience at a leading law firm, government agency, or in-house
- Experience leading complex litigation and/or regulatory enforcement matters
- Expertise in areas such as class actions, commercial disputes, privacy, and/or financial regulatory enforcement issues
- Experience in litigation for a public company, including financial reporting, audit, and governance obligations
- Strong judgment and the ability to translate legal risk into practical business guidance
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across legal disciplines and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

## Nice-to-Haves
- Deep securities litigation experience
- AI-first perspective, with interest in building and leveraging AI-driven tools for litigation management, discovery, and related workflows
