## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Lead company-level Identity & Product Safety programs
- Own the multi-year roadmap and execution plan for protecting identities and accounts across Pinterest, from sign-up and login through everyday use.
- Lead programs spanning multiple teams and organizations, including identity and access modernization, account recovery hardening, and reducing bots and account takeover, from problem framing through launch and steady state.
- Partner with safety, product, and policy teams to design and ship mechanisms that protect people from scams, fraud, deceptive content patterns, unsafe click-outs, and abuse of commercial surfaces.
- Support initiatives that improve age detection, age-appropriate experiences, and compliance with youth safety regulations.

### Provide technical and domain leadership
- Advise senior engineers, data scientists, and product managers on identity, access, safety, and abuse systems end to end.
- Structure complex technical and safety problems by clarifying risks, trade-offs, and options.

### Own program governance, communication, and metrics
- Design and run reviews, health checks, and incident follow-ups to align identity and safety investments with company priorities.
- Define and maintain metrics connecting engineering work to outcomes such as fewer account takeovers and spam incidents, improved recovery success, and stronger verified or age-appropriate coverage.

### Use AI to accelerate program execution
- Use generative AI to draft and refine roadmaps, briefs, status updates, and decision summaries while validating accuracy and safety.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to develop AI-powered helpers and workflows that reduce program-management toil and improve decision signal quality.

### Partner across the company
- Build relationships with Engineering, Product, Trust & Safety, Operations, Policy, and Legal teams.
- Communicate clearly with executives, on-call responders, and frontline teams about changes, rationale, and success measures.

## Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role driving large, cross-functional engineering programs.
- Experience in trust and safety, security, identity, integrity, anti-abuse, fraud, account access, or privacy at consumer or enterprise scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to learn complex technical domains, including identity and access management, large-scale detection systems, platform and infrastructure, and experimentation.
- Experience making technical trade-offs under ambiguity and sequencing work to de-risk difficult problems.
- Track record delivering multi-quarter programs with multiple teams, dependencies, and stakeholders.
- Strong program governance skills, including charters, milestones, dependency and risk management, and metrics.
- Familiarity with account security, abuse prevention, and safety and integrity measurement best practices.
- Demonstrated use of generative AI to improve the speed and quality of daily work, with an approach to validating accuracy and mitigating risks.
- Comfort working with dashboards, metrics, lightweight analysis, and data science partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and influence skills across engineering, product, design, operations, and legal or policy teams.
- Ability to turn ambiguous, cross-organizational problems into actionable programs with owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience mentoring TPMs or technical leaders and improving program management practices.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: **$123,684–$254,644 USD**.
