## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and implement mapping and localization solutions tailored to autonomous-driving use cases, running on embedded ECUs and in the cloud.
- Implement runtime-efficient in-vehicle software on automotive SoCs.
- Build backend infrastructure for building, storing, and processing maps for ADAS/AD production functions and ML model training.
- Apply automated techniques to generate maps from raw data, using and improving internal tools for viewing and editing maps.

## Requirements
- Master's degree in mapping, localization, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of experience building software components or subsystems addressing real-world mapping and localization challenges.
- Hands-on experience with more than one relevant software framework or tool, such as middleware, benchmarking suites, datasets and pipelines, or algorithmic libraries.
- Deep understanding of localization concepts, world representations and transforms, mapping and localization intersections, and error analysis and characterization.
- Knowledge of analyzing and comparing hardware solutions for localization.
- Expertise in C++ and/or Python.

## Nice-to-haves
- PhD in mapping, localization, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on expertise in SLAM, probabilistic filtering, nonlinear optimization, computational geometry, numerical analysis, or distributed systems.
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks.
- Experience developing on automotive SoCs and middleware.
