## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of Commercial or Enterprise customers and proactively monitor account health, product adoption, and utilization to identify expansion opportunities and churn or contraction risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with key technical stakeholders, understand analytics needs and use cases, and determine how dbt Cloud can help customers achieve their goals.
- Educate customers on new and existing dbt Cloud products and features to increase their value from the platform.
- Collaborate with Sales Directors and Solutions Architects on account strategy, customer lifecycle, and renewal processes.
- Represent the customer in product discussions and participate in cross-functional activities.
- Improve team processes, playbooks, knowledge-sharing, and enablement assets.
- Create and deliver external-facing content through live events, blog posts, recorded tutorials, and other formats.
- Work in the Austin office two days per week and be willing to travel to internal and external events.

## Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in a post-sales role, such as technical account management or customer success engineering.
- Solid technical background with an understanding of modern data warehousing architectures and analytics stacks.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Comfort presenting to varied stakeholders and audiences, ideally in an externally facing role.
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and respond effectively during customer conversations.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work closely with Customer Solutions Architects, Sales Directors, and Solutions Architects.
- Willingness to travel.

## Nice-to-haves

- dbt certification or prior dbt experience.
- Basic Python competency.
- Advanced SQL knowledge.
- Experience with ancillary tools, data infrastructure, and APIs.

- Base compensation range: $136,282.50–$163,545.50 USD.
